Become a member of the Carrollton-Riverbend Neighborhood Association! Most of us live or own property within the area bounded by Carrollton, Claiborne, the Orleans Parish line and the Mississippi River, but any interested person can join us. Monetary dues are not mandatory, but donations of $10 for individuals and $25 for households annually are helpful.

- Street, SWB pipes, and sidewalk repair issues
- Blight, vacant lots
- Communication
- Criminal justice reform
- Doubles-to-Dorms
- Education & education facilities
- Equitable and affordable housing
- Parks for neighborhood kids
- Safety and/or crime
- Sewerage & Water Board industrial noise, air pollution
- Sustainability
- Tree planting
- Voting registration and participation
- Zoning and/or planning issues (enforcement, violations, etc.)
Tell us about any concerns you have about the neighborhood. Or maybe you just want to stay informed. Or host a potluck. We look forward to meeting you!!

Does the membership span a particular period (calendar year, …) or is it just renewed from the time at which it’s submitted? We’re joining, but are trying to figure out if we should just wait ’til the first of the year to do so.
We typically cycle July to June. Dues are voluntary for members. Funds raised go to cover organization expenses for general membership meetings, neighborhood events and other community efforts supported by members.

I can’t seem to find information (that I’m sure I read before) about neighborhood “porch parties” or something like that. I’d like to know if y’all are looking for host homes, what dates the parties occur, and any other info that would be important to know.

Here’s the latest information I found:
Host responsibilities: Provide a porch, invite your neighbors and set up some light refreshments and a few folding chairs. We join with more chairs, refreshments and good spirits. To volunteer as a host house for 2011, email tarpsnola@yahoo.com or call (504) 617‐2572
