Today (5/15) several CRNA board members walked around a petition and a survey. The same will take place tomorrow. The target area is nearby residences, businesses, churches, and people on both sides of Leonidas, near SWB Carrollton plant. The petition states that the signer is concerned about the effects of the SWB industrial noise and pollution. The survey asks if the person is affected, how, and such.
The aims are to (1) get documentation that people ARE affected and ARE concerned (whether they are personally affected or not) and (2) let people know that their voices are being amplified and (3) encourage people to contact us, attend meetings, or just email us their experiences.
It is disturbing how many of the people we spoke with today are affected and yet have not been reached out to about this.
